Dave Latham

I have always been fascinated by the complexity of life, and the hardships some people have to endure. with a personal willingness to want to help people improve their lives, and self perceptions. Having experienced many losses myself, my passion has grown, and i would like the opportunity to "make a difference", and support those when it is needed most.

Working in my current work environments I understand how the demands of daily life and major life events such as a Bereavement, job loss, Domestic Violence, Physical/Sexual abuse, Financial Issues, Challenging Children or divorce can leave us feeling overwhelmed, confused or even just sad.

My role as your Counsellor is to help you to explore the feelings and emotions that are often related to your current/past life experiences. Presenting you the opportunity to reflect on what is happening in your world and for me to support therapeutically to explore alternative ways of copings and dealing with emotive issues that are impacting negatively on your life and those that are dear to you..

I appreciate that discussing personal problems can feel daunting and difficult to know where to begin but I can offer a safe place to express your feelings, listen to you without judgement, and together the time and safety to explore your emotional concerns whilst to supporting you through your decision making process.

I work with a person-centred approach to Counselling which means I believe you are the expert on your life. My practice, can provide a safe space for you to talk over an issue(s) openly and honestly, so you feel heard and understood. Most importantly you will learn to articulate what you are feeling in a way that gives you the clarity needed to resolve an issue(s) and or move forward with your life.
